Maywood Medical is a group of community family physicians practicing full spectrum, comprehensive primary care.
We value evidence-based medicine and aim to integrate emerging research with patient values to guide clinical care decisions. We are committed to providing timely access to medical care and aim to empower patients with optimal health promotion and disease prevention.
Our Team
Dr. Ann Lin
She earned her medical degree from the University of British Columbia after completing undergraduate studies in biochemistry. She then completed her family medicine residency at the University of Alberta in Edmonton. Before establishing her practice in Burnaby, she worked in rural Quebec and throughout the Lower Mainland.
Dr. Jeffrey Leong
He earned his undergraduate degree in Biochemistry and a diploma in Accounting from the University of British Columbia. He went on to complete his medical degree at UBC, followed by a family medicine residency at the University of Calgary.
Dr. Irene Iu
After completing a Bachelor of Science in Physiology, she earned her medical degree from the University of British Columbia. She then completed her family medicine residency at Western University in Ontario. She has a special interest in chronic disease management and preventive health. Outside of work, she enjoys exploring nature through hiking and spending time with family and friends.
Dr. Louis Wang
He completed a Bachelor of Science in Biochemistry at the University of British Columbia, followed by a Master of Public Health at Simon Fraser University. He earned his medical degree from Kansas City University in Missouri and completed his clinical rotations in Fort Myers, Florida. He went on to complete his family medicine residency at McGill University in Montreal. He is pleased to be practicing back home in beautiful British Columbia.
Dr. Linda Wang
She earned her undergraduate degree in Pharmacology, followed by a medical degree from the University of British Columbia. She completed her family medicine residency in Victoria before returning to Vancouver.
Dr. Nelson Chow
Abegail Ferrer
After completing an undergraduate degree in biochemistry at the University of British Columbia, he completed his medical degree at Schulich School of Medicine and Dentistry in Ontario. He continued his family medicine residency at Schulich in Windsor and he practiced family medicine in Ontario for three years before returning to Vancouver.
